Founded in late 2016, Alt Orient was established to create a home for West Asian & African alternative electronic music. Covering a wide range of electronic sub-genres such as (Indie Electronica, House, Organic House, Downtempo, Techno, Avant Garde, Experimental & everything in between).

The imprint has since switched its focus to releasing music with artists who perform live electronic music, such as the pioneer Arab indie El Morabba3, breakthrough Georgian artist, singer-songwriter and producer; Tamada, sensational duo Santi & Tugce and Live Psy-Funk band Yalnayak & rising Turkish Producers Wapi & Netam.
