Ipek Ipekcioglu received German Record Critics' Award for her Beyond Istanbul Albums @ Trikont and was named as a musical and political "visionary" by the Süddeutsche Zeitung. and cited as a representative for “ideologically blinker-free living” by Rolling Stone Magazine.The socialy- critical minded producer is an activist and member of female: pressure network and has a strong social-critical agenda related to women, immigrant, queer and gender topics which she transports into her productions. Ipek has been pushing boundaries within the ethnic & electronic music scene and communities for over two decades. Ipek has performed at Glastonburry, Fusion, Sziget, Garbicz, At. tension, Ms Dockville, Womex and many more international electronic and world music festivals from New York City, Beirut, Erbil, Yerevan, Marseille, Los Angeles, Salvador de Bahia, Cairo, Sana’a, Istanbul, Seoul, Novosibirsk to the desert Sahara of Mali, developing an exclusive brand name with her unique & hybrid Sound mix.
